The red wine finish from the ex-Bordeaux casks imparts an incredible depth of rich fruit and spice to the spirit, enhancing the soft spice and ripe barley character of the pot still whiskey.
Micil Earls Island has wondrous spice notes, full of boiled sweets, apple drops, touches of maraschino cherries and slightly tart redcurrants and rhubarb. Thereās copious spice, cinnamon and nutmeg, along with marzipan and toasted nuts. Delightfully moreish.
